"The simplest podcast API ever. Call their special phone number: 646-200-0000. It records the call.
When you're done it creates an RSS 2.0 feed with an enclosure that's an

Mobile podcasting just made the world flatter. The field has been leveled. Now you don't have to be a techie to get your message out to the masses.

2007 Network Marketing Book of The Year- My Top Pick
12:52 PM, 18 Feb 2008
Every
once in awhile, a network marketing book crosses my desk that I can't
put down. Believe me, I've seen them all, the good, the bad, and the
ugly. This is my pick for 2007 Network Marketing Book of the Year.
"John is the big thinker in this
industry, the guy who always takes the high road. Read and Learn...it's
well worth the journey"-Seth Godin, author of Permission Marketing and Purple Cow
John David Mann's Book, The Zen Of MLM,
is a no nonsense guide for the network marketer.Get this book into the
hands of anyone investigating the business of network marketing for the
first time. I wish I had this under my pillow when I began my journey.
John David Mann
was co founder of, and senior editor of Upline Magazine; editor and
chief of Network Marketing Life- styles; and editor in chief at Networking Times. During the 1990's he built a network marketing organization of over 100,000 distributors.
This was not my intention, yet, I have to say I was impressed.
It was 7:00pm on a Saturday evening when a strange
van pulled into our driveway and actually interrupted our
marshmallow roast over a campfire. It was dark and I know
that my dazed, “who are you?” look with a stick in my hand and a
glowing marshmallow at the end, looked quite silly.
I have to say, the demonstration was impressive. My kids were inspired.
My husband said, “BUY IT!”.Now that was
a huge surprise.
The vacuum cleaner itself is an amazing tool.
What left the larger impression was the dedication,
commitment and
confidence that these two young people displayed from
the time they stepped out of the van, until they walked out
our front door, waving good bye.
What was it that had me asking them questions,
wanting to learn and then trading phone numbers
as they were leaving?
What can we learn from Kirby Vacuum Cleaner... Continued...
Have you ever watched Tiger Woods walk down the fairway?
No matter who his partner, Tiger's strength, confidence and focus is clearly evident.
I recently attended a conference on the Power of One where the changing shape of Tiger Woods was illustrated.
He actually is a "V" with other golfers looking more like "pears". His waist is disappearing and his shoulders and arms are more muscular, pronounced and strong.
Now I am a golfer and love the challenge of trying to hit a little white ball with a piece of metal and then hearing the sound of the ball dropping into the hole.
A Tiger Woods I am not.
Tiger knows that most golf tournaments are won by 1-3 strokes.
So how does he get the advantage? How can you get the advantage in your business?
Network Marketing is a challenging "sport". To be at the top of your game and at the top of the industry you need the same advantage as Tiger Woods.

"Every man's work, whether it be literature or music or pictures or architecture or anything else, is always a portrait of himself. *Samuel Butler (1835-1902) English Writer
This quote struck me and really got me to thinking about my portrait of myself.
You see I paint a portrait of myself every day and although you may see one picture when you look at me, I may see another when I look in the mirror.
I have the ability to change the portrait of myself and it is ultimately ME who splashes the colors, and shares the vision of myself.
How will what I paint help others?
When I look at the portrait who and what will I see?
What portrait are you painting of yourself?
Is it filled with joy, vision, perseverance, determination, integrity?
I am truly honred to the be the #3 enroller for 2006 in my company. I would love to say that I set that goal at the beginning of 2006, and it isn't true. It was truly a surprise! I knew it had been a good year, a really good year.
I work best with goals which I can achieve in a short period of time. I love the goals that I set for the next 6 months, 1 year, etc. All of a sudden the achievement of those goals sneaks up on me and all of the daily, weekly and monthly goals helped set the foundation to the achievement of those big goals.
I see myself as a football player. When I am given the ball, it is my job to move it forward.I know that as a running back, it will take concentration (staying focused on my game plan), energy (digging deep to find the fortitude even when I am too tired to stand), intensity (“I will get there, no matter who or what is standing in my way”), practice (daily work outs and action), teamwork (learning... It has been over 3 years since I started my current business and each day I am struck with how many people suffer from the "ME" syndrome.
Home schooling my 3 children provides a lot of "me" experiences.
"I am hungry, what can I eat?" "She wasn't nice to me." "I love the store, what can I get?"
Me, me, me! Our society feeds on this and says that it is ok to get whatever we want, however we can get it, and make it quick. Do you know what I am talking about? From commercials to jingles, "Have it your way..." we are programmed to believe that the universe revolves around us, right?
Yet, when it comes to providing a service, product or partnership with someone, we need to put the "me" giant inside of us away and SERVE others. I am not kidding!
To be successful in whatever you do, take your service to the next level, go the extra mile, you must keep in the fore front of your mind, "What can I do for YOU?".
“In reading the lives of great men, I found that the first victory they won was over themselves . . . Self-discipline with all of them came first.” – Harry Truman, 33rd U.S. president Ok, I have been up and working since 5:30 am this morning.
I tell you this only because it is cold outside and the blankets were really warm and comforting. I am also not an early bird, I prefer to let the early bird get the worm and I will eat the berries left over on the bushes. J
I tell you that I got up early and got to work, because I am creating a habit, using self-discipline because I know that getting up early will help me accomplish some action steps before my children even open their eyes, giving me a sense of satisfaction and peace knowing that I have moved closer to my goal without taking time away from them.
You can do it!
What battle are you fighting with yourself... Continued...
As I look at the last entry, I can't believe that it has been over a year. Yet, when I look over the past year, I know why.
In my business, I continued to work on my goal setting, adding new personally sponsored team members, coaching my team and learning all that I can to be the best coach and mentor in this industry.
I have gone, with my team, from Double Diamond, to Triple Diamond and then two short months later to one of 8 Directors in my company.
It has been a year to begin home schooling my 3 children and to set the goal of bringing my husband home after 24 years of teaching.
Whew! What a great year of hard work, inspiration and motivation to accomplish more than I have ever accomplished in my life!
I wish for you the very best 2007! A year of courage, prosperity and FUN!
Here are some thoughts as you declare your "New Year's Resolutions" and more.
We will open a book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on... Continued...
I would have to say that I have dabbled in Network Marketing for the past 15 years. My first experience was with a beauty company, for a girl who loves to wear sweatshirts, jeans and go bare feet, this company was not a fit.
Just a few years ago, I became a stay-at-home mom with my 3 children. I gave up my teaching career at the age of 39 to stay home. Was I crazy! At the time I felt like it, yet I knew it was the best move I could make for my children, my family.
After a year of being just "mommy" I desired more and searched for a business I could do from home. I found a telecommunications company that I worked with commitment and desire. I looked to my upline for training, the key to making my business a success, and was left disappointed and frustrated. Yet, I moved on!
Then I was introduced to a product that fit me like a glove and a company that embodied my values and priorities. I was and continue to be in heaven.
